It’s the craziest thing, a dog on a boat jumps right into the water and bites this shark and drags it to land. Gotta see it to believe it.

This is my Picotope 3 gallon saltwater aquarium on day 8 (Feb. 27, 2010)
I added a polyp coral of some kind and a hitchhiker mushroom and also a mushroom frag from my other tank. The red coral is fake and will probably be removed later when the tank fill up.
Notice the cyanobacteria spots on the uncleaned glass and the color on the rocks and gravel from this same stuff. I put a couple small snails from my other tank in this one and there are lots of little bugs showing up already to hopefully clean up the tank.
With all the picture perfect aquarium videos out there this one show what really happens when starting a tank (at least for me).

I am trying to buy a discus that will help me this season. I don’t want to spend a lot of money, yet if it is good I will. If you need more info just ask…
it all depends on how far you can throw the discus and how good your release is on the discus. dont go out and buy anything over 150 because those are just flashy discus’ you can find one that works great for you for around 50 dollars. go to amazon.com and search there. if you throw under 100 get a rim weight of about 75% if you throw between 100-120 get from 75-85% and if you throw over 120 get anywhere from 85-92%. it all depends though. if you have a favorite discus ask your coach what rim weight the discus is because it really depends on your release on the discus and how good your trigger fingers are
and remember you make the discus the discus does not define how good of thrower you are.

I have a 50 gallon tank with 3 small 1-3 inch albino zebra cichlids, a pleco, 2 tiger barbs, and a catfish. Can i put the convicts in with them? Any of the fish except for the cichlids can be removed so please tell me and please answer thanx a lot!
its usually better if you don’t mix south american cichlids with the Mbuna of lake malawi( rock dwelling herbivors). There are much cooler fish that convicts that come from the same environment as your zebras. they have differing water chemistry requirments and differing feeding requirments…and if you zebras were to breed which is likely when they are adults..the convicts could eat them…they would probably get along, but sometimes the africans can be prety beligerant to south americans.

Currently have 5 Guppies [ 1 Male, 3 Female, 1 "Fancy" Female. ] One of the normal females looks like she is pregnant, she has the black gravid spots now I beleive and is getting slightly larger each day. Oh, And is there any reason that she is getting more and more colorful each day also?
like the first answer stated there will be hundreds born but if u dont watch her giving birth ull be lukky to see more then a dozen in your tank…the adults will eat them
out of all the new borns if more tehn 3 survive till adult hood youll be lucky
