Looking for competitors to the As Seen On TV Shark Floor Cleaner.
I have seen some infomercials for a couple others, but don’t remember the names of them. Not for use on carpets, but mainly tile and hardwood floors.
Thanks.
I have a "Polti" Probably the best steam cleaners you can buy. I have had it for 9 years now, and although it was very expensive, I have never regretted buying it for a second. My daughter bought the "Shark" cleaner, and it broke after 2 weeks, and she had serious problems getting her money back. My "Polti" has a lifetime guarantee, if it breaks down, they will come and repair it, but I have never had to use the service.
I have rena filstar xp3 filter, 3 damsels, 2 clowns and 2 hermit crabs. Looking for something quiet, under $300, hang on the back kind , and I have 3.5 inches from tank to back of the wall.
Thanks in advance!!!
Coralife make a very nice skimmer for about $150 rated up to a 100 gallon tank,,,,, i over skim my tanks ,, cheap insurance for high water quality
my marine science teacher has saltwater aquariums and no air pumps only power-heads. How is it possible that with only power heads (water pumps) that the fish in the aquarium survive?
All air pumps do is lower surface tension to make a gas exchange between co2 and oxygen some marine water and freshwater filters can make that gas exchange in the filter hence the power head and that’s why he does’nt need bubblers
I want to add a wet dry filter to my aquarium, how is the flow regulated? i have a 390 gph pump, how do i get the water coming out at exactly 390gph?
you do not worry about getting the water out at any flow rate. The water will only flow out as fast as it is pumped in. If you buy a wet dry filter you need a overflow box if your tank does not have a build in overflow.
Here is one that includes the overflow. It is a very good value IMO>

I have been throwing discus for my school track team for a couple years now. I would like to be able to throw it farther. We lift weights and things like that. I see it getting a little bit better, but whats the best thing to do to really get your distance up?
throw it harder
I have a tank that houses 5 cichlids which are pretty good size (3-4 inches), and the pleco that is in with them at the moment is the same size as they are – however he is getting chased around by the cichlids. What types of bottom feeder fish can coexist in the same tank with cichlids, without being chased around? Thanks!
syn. petricola. google it.
It seems all I have is females and not any male guppies in that tank of mine, I started off with one male and four female guppies 7 months ago, and so I am wondering if a female guppy can decide which to give the most birth too, no males and more females, Can this happen?
My local fish store told me that the gender of guppies is determined by the temperature of their tank, as baby fry. I am not sure if this is true, but my guppies were almost always females and I think it was because the heat was to high.
What do I need to convert a Goldfish (black moor) from a 2 gallon aquarium to a 10 gallon aquarium? I have a large amount of gravel, water dechlorinater, and lots of food.
The aquarium I am getting has a filter, heater, hood, lights, thermometer, and a net.
Any other chemichals, tests, anything?
Shollia is right. Besides that, you don’t need a heater, but it is good to have a test kit. I recommend API master liquid test kit for freshwater. Decorations and plants never hurt either! But definitely keep in mind the fish is going to need a bigger tank.
