all plants in an aquarium will rot if not given enough light and food. Letting the substrate stagnate will effect the same. Planted tanks look great, but trust me, you need to treat them like a manicured garden. I just read the books, and learnt by my mistakes. Have fun !

he dude, beautiful tank! im just setting up my community tank and ive got 6 harlequin rasbora and a syno! i agree the sand looks so much nicer! get some L number catfish! ill post a vid of my tank when it has more…. life in it!
