razor blade (but only if the tank is glass. A razor blade will chew up a plastic/acrylic tank)

Scrape it off with a razor blade. Try to keep the salts out of the water, and change the water afterwards.

a 10-20% vinegar solution would work great, rinse well when done (i’m assuming the tank is currently empty?)

easy one this.. but only if the tank is empty.
lime scale is an alkali, and the best way to remove it is by using something acidic. Lemon juice is one of the better methods since it doesn’t have other chemicals in it that could be dangerous.
you can also find aquarium safe acids to use instead, but these cost more.
which ever acid you decide to use, you need to make sure that you wash the tank out well before you put anything in there.
after you let it soak for a min, just use an algae pad to rub it off.

If it is empty
Bleach. This will Kill everything!
1 gallon per 10 Gallons water.
then let it sit for a week.
after rinse it out. and let it set in the sun for 2 days. the sun will break the bleach/chlorine down (Like what happens to a pool over a few days)
If it is currently in use. get a scraper from the store and Gently scrape them off. USE No Chemicals

the most natural way is with lime/lemon juice or vinegar….but remember they are acids and need to be washed out well be for fish are added..
also you could use CLR…..all the acids are natural the only thing about CLR is
Surfactants with makes the it easier to use….so if this is used you need to make sure it is wash very well with lots of warm water…
i encourage you to read up on surfactants if you choose this method..
also never use soap as it will leave a film on the glass that is toxic to fish..
