are you talking about the pipeing in your filter? well even then if the hose is big enough i use an old tooth brush. they also sell cleaner brushes at walmart for pipes that shouyld work sory if this dosent help

if the tube is turning brittle and wrinklingor cracking, just go and buy a new one. i can tell you how many times i've seen a room flooded becuse of faulty tubing.

You can use a flexible pipe cleaner or you can clean it by using bleach and water to remove it and flushing the hose out and leting it dry completely in the sun. WT

Really you just need to replace that tubing it doesn't cost much and is a good practice to get into.

With a brush on flexible metal shaft. Sometimes the brushes are referred to as bottle brushes. Might not want to as this is normal bacterial growth and is actually beneficial until it starts hampering water flow. Good Luck

you can buy white pipe cleaners from any arts and crafts store. that will take the gunk right out. or if you know of any places that sell instruments they have what are called spit rags. They are pieces of cloth on the end of a string. Simply put it through the pipe and pull it out. Or just make one.

Ideally, you get one of these: http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/group/14496/product.web It’s like a bottle brush on a piece of flexible plastic. Feed the plastic end through, then twist and pull the brush through the tube.
