Rescued Sea Turtle Takes First Swim in the PPG Aquarium Ocean Tank
March 8th, 2010 | by admin |
A rescued loggerhead sea turtle takes his first swim in the Indo-Pacific ocean tank at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium. Aquarists are shown here moving the approximately 2-year-old turtle, who was rescued from the beaches of North Carolina in December, from the holding/quarantine area to his new home in the ocean tank. Eventually, the turtle will be released back into the wild.
