    I actually have …
I actually have heard of the bamboo biofilter, however surprisingly I am not such a fan of it. To start off, bamboo is an extremely slow growing plant, and it being a slow grower, it does a very poor job of removing nitrates and ammonia from the water, which is what the intended use is for. Another thing most bamboo keepers are totally unaware of, is that bamboo is not an aquatic or sub-aquatic plant, and is supposed to be planted in soil. By keeping it in water, it will eventually just rot.

thats a great video, but have u considered putting another outlet pipe near the top of your filter , just in case a blockage happens in the exit of your filter. that would protect against an overflowing filter spilling water where u dont want it to go. thanks for the video

    I read authors of …
I read authors of aquarium books use this line many times: you cannot over filtrate an aquarium. Pretty much, the more filtration, the better. However if you choose to put a lot of filtration on one aquarium, always be aware of whether the fish are having any type of trouble swimming in one place. If they are unable to keep themselves upright or are having trouble swimming, you should reduce filtration flow immediately.
