    Sure they are, but …
    Sure they are, but they are cooled by mineral oil, so there is no reason to panic – if there is some extra heat generated on it’s coils it will be dissipated by the oil.

    I have a diffrent question – 6 gallons of oil has great heat capacity, but what happenes after few hours of gaming? what’s the maximum temperature of the oil? Maybe little waterpump and external radiator would help?

    I didn’t read all the comments, maybe I’m asking something that repeats now. Aren’t you forcing and destroying those vents? It’s clear that mineral oil has a complete different density from air; so the vents are struggeling to achieve their rpm…?

    @paulogoiania

    yes …
    @paulogoiania

    yes. as a matter of fact, it’s way better than relying on air and just your fans to do the cooling. you don’t need fans, but they still help in oil by creating currents that spread the heat out evenly, increasing the cooling power.

    doing this is very nice if you feel like overclocking your pc.

  18. paulogoiania says:

    does the mineral …
    does the mineral oil work as a cooling system for the computer, making CPU cooler and all the ventilation useless?
    Nice work anyway!
