can i hook a aquariums to a cage to make a bigger hamster cage?

Yes it is perfectly safe to do.
as long as they are hooked up right. And after hooking them up together, make sure there isnt any way your hamster could get caught(their foot)

it all depends…
Mostly likely yes, but make sure if you were to the cut the aquariums glass, that you tape it with scotch tape so the edges don’t cut your hamster, But it should be tottally awesome to have it bigger, they love the space and extra play areas! Just as long as you don’t leave a big enough hole for them to escape and make sure that there are no sharp edges, everything should work out!!

Yes – they make tops for aquariums that will accept the tubes used on many hamster cages.
Another alternative is a homemade bin cage – MUCH easier to clean than an aquarium and lots more room for a cheaper cost.
However you end up expanding your hamsters cage the happier she’ll be!
