Mostly likely yes, but make sure if you were to the cut the aquariums glass, that you tape it with scotch tape so the edges don't cut your hamster, But it should be tottally awesome to have it bigger, they love the space and extra play areas! Just as long as you don't leave a big enough hole for them to escape and make sure that there are no sharp edges, everything should work out!!
