Awesome tank. What kind of substrate do you have?

  11. SeanoHermano says:

What kind of substrate do you have? I have crushed coral in my 29 gallon. Crushed coral seems to get a bad rep, at least on the forums(i.e. Reef Sanctuary, Reef Central). Should I use an aragonite base and not “live sand”. Live sand is only live until the micro-organisms in the sand bag use up the oxygen in the bag. Once it is used up, the “live” sand is no longer live. So what do you use and would you recommend it? Is it easy to keep clean?
