    i thought you were supposed to put the water in first before the decoration, to prevent little salt consentrations from getting stuck in the gravel and messing up the salinity, at least thats what my marine biology teacher told me.

    this guy looks like a tool!!

  11. NavySEALsSpectator says:

    @bloopatroopa accualy you may be able to to that but if fish are in the tank they might get real agressive

  12. scheppach69 says:

    @fingersk8dan Do u need a heater in a cold water aquarium?

  13. fingersk8dan says:

    @scheppach69 no you dont. a coldwater aquarium is for goldfish (as you probably know) only tropical and marine fish need a heater.

    thanks

  14. lightbluedemonfly says:

    @scheppach69 er…. why would you if its a COLD water aquarium?… common sense dude.

  15. lightbluedemonfly says:

    @NavySEALsSpectator you mean stressed, most fish that people have aren’t that aggressive and cant really harm you.

    I’ve had a 30 gallon tank for a long time and now I got a 55 gallon tank for my birthday. I’m used to having small fish but I really want a cichlid tank. Do you think putting 4-5 convict cichlids, an oscar, and a pleco will be too many fish?

  18. PeanutButterCoCoPuff says:

    @The0Burger0King

    I have a 55 gallon, too, and its way too small for even one oscar. they can get 12-16 inches long, and the reccomended size is 100 gallons.

  19. The0Burger0King says:

    @PeanutButterCoCoPuff
    I’ve done a lot of research since this comment and I’m gonna get a Jack Dempsey, 2 convicts, a blood parrot, and a pleco.

  20. PeanutButterCoCoPuff says:

    @The0Burger0King

    that sounds great! :) tell me how it goes, and good luck

  21. FuzzieBuddies says:

    how come this guy doesent know what hes talking about on expertvillage but he does on ehow?

  22. The0Burger0King says:

    @PeanutButterCoCoPuff

    I have my tank all set up. I have 5 buenos aries tetras, 1 jack dempsey, 1 pleco, and a blood parrot (which sadly has fin rot and is gonna die) :(
    Otherwise the other fish are doing fine.

  23. scheppach69 says:
