   well, in canda as far as cheap aquariums go, were pretty screwed. the cheapest place i know is PetValue. even there they cost 18$ plus tax w/o ANYTHINg. just tyhe tank. no cover, filter heater etc. at wal*mart, a 10g with filter and hood is 40$ but then you still need a heater. id suggest just getting one from petvalue and getting a heater (get one with suction cus, NOT the hanging ones) you could also try kijiji.ca its really neat and you can refine items for sale based on where u live and as far as payments go, you hand over cash and you dont need to wait 3wks fo it to delivver ^^ good lukk=]

   EDIT** i am fortunate to live near a petsmart in canada, but you are most likely not. they have them in north bay, sudbury, hamilton/toronto area and MAYBE a few other locations. even if you DID have on near you, the cost like 20-30$ there, and ive never had any luck finding one =\

   live in Canada, been there done that, why is everything so expensive?? i mean, in the US, they get plain glass 10g’s for under 10$ new. =\
