Q&A: Is my 30 gallon tank safe on my tv stand?

I have a tv stand that says it supports up to 92 lbs, and I have a 29 gallon tank on it right now. It’s not an entertainment stands, my dvd and bluray player are on shelves beneath, but the tv is above on the wall, away from the aquarium. I was told as long as I wear’t move the ramped it won’t matter, but I’m equitable really paranoid about it, there’s no other room in my room where I can put it, and the ramping is sitting on support beams if that helps, but I just desire to make certain that it won’t collapse in the near future. I’ve had the tank for almost 3 days, we filled it up half way when we got it, and put decorations etc in it today, and filled it up all the way. I guess my question is is this safe, or should I rearrange and make room for a stand?

Water weighs about 8.5 pounds per gallon so your tank would weigh about 240 lbs not including contents inside I have my 20 on a tv stand but it holds over 300lbs

inch HD TV to put out so much heat?? its winter and i have to open my widows for cool air![ were you thinking i was going to ask something else] My friend says its only part tv! the rest is caused by 2 pc’s 2 monitors,6 lamps,30 gal fish tank with 2air pumps,water heater and 2 water treatment filters,a vcr,dvd,recorder,a stereo with 5 cd changer and 2 cassette players [no turntable],2 big room air cleaners,a Wii game system, 2 fans,a cable box,2 security camera’s[outside] connected to a 19 inch and a 13 inch TVS,a printer,a 4 foot by 3 foot lighted mirror with rollers inside, [[so it looks like a sunset on the ocean over Gilligan's island with waves in motion]].{don’t ask}…..2 electric guitars,1 Amp.i think that’s it,oh and an electric clock. Should I unplug the clock?? Bedroom had[5] ,2 plug outlets,one on each wall and one on each side of bathroom door.I added 7 /6 plug extenders with circuit breakers and 2 [1 to 3]outlet adapters. I NOW HAVE 48 THINGS PLUGGED IN!!! I don’t need lamps because small red, orange and green Led light and aquarium illume up room! No wonder the gas company can’t make any money off me! just for what i cook i guess! they must love thanksgiving and x-mas months!! WHAT DID I ASK? Oh yeah, is HD TV normal to get hot? thankyou [[now i better check batteries in smoke detector!!!!!]]AM I AN ELECTRIC JUNKIE!?? have a good week!

We wanna take them to Orlando via the train. The only route close to us goes from our town to Chicago to DC to Orlando. There are long layovers in both Chicago and DC. So here’s what we thought we’d do. Here to Chicago, then while laid over hit Lego Land for our 5 year old son. Then head to DC, while laid over there, hit the Smithsonian. Then get a sleeper car and head to Orlando where we will spend our first day resting up, then hit the attractions for a few days mainly Discovery Cove, Aquatica, and Disney. Then relax some more before we grab the train home. When laid over in DC this time hit the Aquarium. Grab the sleeper train to Chicago and while laid over there this time hit the American Girl store for our 12 year old daughter. Then grab the short train home. Do you think that sounds reasonable?The whole trip is going to be 1 and a half weeks. We chose the train because our 5 year old has arthritis and a long car ride would be very painful for him and my husband has a fear of flying. My son has been on a couple of train rides and he finds them fascinating, but we’d bring a dvd player, nintendo ds, toy cars…basically all the stuff we bring to entertain him when he has long hospital stays. I know it’s a big trip, but he’s been hospitalized off and on with seriously health problems for 2 years and we all need to get the heck outa Dodge if you KNWIM.

Two year old with behavior issues?

She isn’t good when she has to sit for any period of time. For example if we decided to go to dinner. We went to olive garden and she was a nightmare. We waited 30 min for table outside and she was allowed to play in the grass but holding throwing a tantrum every time I would get her out of the rocks. When we got to the table we had further issues. She kept having tantrums. We had brought 2 toys and a portable dvd player with a new movie. I finally had to take her out to the car, put her in the car seat and sit in the car with her while the car was running while I waited for out friends and my husband to completing eating. We have this problem when we go grocery shopping and when we go to fun places. Like the local Aquarium. She loving seeing the fish, turtles and otters, etc but she kept having a fit because she wanted to run around like a mad woman and touch and climb on things she wasn’t allowed to. I’m at a loss as to what to do. If I want to do anything wish hang out with friends, eat divulge, go shopping, etc I have to get a babysitter otherwise it won’t be fun, I won’t get to eat, it will be harder than it should have been and I won’t have gotten everything I needed at the binned.Tried that. She gets put in time out a lot and when it’s in a public place, time out is in our car. She is an angel at home but in public, a nightmare. I spend a lot of time in the car.Denise, we do eat at the table as a family when my husband is home (marines have crazy schedules). After hearing your advise my husband and I decided we should get her out of the highchair and get her a chair that attatches to one of our dinning room chairs so she tin sit more at the table like mom and dad and that every day at dinner time, whether he is home or not, we will be eating at dinner table.Lauren, I know tantrums are normal. I think I did need to hear it again though.

Im not a mom, myself, but i have babysat children like this. All I think about is that their parents aren’t doing the cheated they are supposed to. Who is the boss, you or the child? When she is act up, you take her things away and tell her to be quieten. Don’t let her control your life because of her behavioral issues. She knows right now that she is in charge. Put her in time out until she either stops or cries herself to sleep. Harsh, but it will teach her that she can’t act the way she does without being reprimanded.

Ok I was in my room watching a movie on my portable dvd player and my green-cheek conure was on top of my hamster’s cage. I didn’t mind… I was actually happy that he wasn’t all over my dvd player chewing all the pieces off. I wasn’t watching him but he crawled through a hole in the top of the glass aquarium (the hole was on the plastic lid and was supposed to be there) so he got into the hamster’s cage. I looked into the hamster cage and saw the bird in the cage and I kinda laughed like lol! So I opened the cage and he DARTED out so I was like.. wow… So he flew to my bed and I saw blood and I was like… crap!!! so there’s blood EVERYWHERE!! I think since whenever he sees the hamster he like attacks it so I think maybe he attacked the hamster and the hamster bit him like genuinely really hard and he’s in so much pain flop now his foot is tucked into his side because it’s too painful to put down. Should I take him to the vet? I’m not sure if the hemorrhaged stopped or not I think it did but what should I do? I am pretty sure it stopped bleeding now he’s just in pain

The vet is your best option he can give some pain killers for it.

first question : 4 x 4 = 16 + 8 = 24 x 2 = $ 48 second question : 18 x 2 (because she spent half) = 36 + 25 (that she spent on jeans) = 61 (is a third of the total so mult by 3 to get total) 61 x 3 = $ 183

OMG. That’s nuts. I don’t really care about commercial Christmas but the following would be nice: 1. Gift Cards to just about anything. 2. I like reading long, handwritten, well wishes in cards along with a tad bit of money. 3. A new digital camera. Someone sat on my old one. Yes. They SAT on it. Smh. 4. Fruit. I know that sounds weird but I’ve received baskets of fruit before and it was the best fruit I have ever had.
