Is it safe for my Conure to eat Aquarium snails?

Question by : Is it safe for my Conure to eat Aquarium snails?
I have a Green Cheek Conure that seems to snatch my Ramhorn Aquarium snails on the top of the water when I’m doing maintenance on the Aquarium. She loves to eat them. There is no chemicals in my Aquarium water, so is it safe for her to eat the water snails? She’s ate about 3 or so of them in the past few weeks.

I couldn’t even hazard a guess. How can you be sure the snails don’t harbor any parasites that could live in & have an effect on the bird? I’m thinking you ought to prevent your bird from ingesting the snails. There are waste contaminates in the tank & on the snails, I would think. ickkk. Your bird might like the taste of allot of things that aren’t good for it, that doesn’t mean you should let her eat these things. I’m just say’n.

What’s the easiest fish for my aquarium (low maintenance)?

Question by lina inverse: What’s the easiest fish for my aquarium (low maintenance)?
I merely sadly lost our goldfish (koi?) and shortly thereafter our algae eater was also lost. we had these for several years. like at least 5 maybe more. it’s a freshwater tank and i don’t have alot of time for maintenance. I’m not sure why these last fish died after so many years, should I replace them with the same (goldfish & algae eater) or could you recommend something else. Our climate is warm, so the tank temperature is not a major issue. It’s a 30 gallon tank.

Gold fish generally lonesome live a minimum of 5 years, that’s very good! I would recomend a goldfish, algea eater, of siamese fighting fish (Betta).
