If I put a shark jaw in a tank of water will it start to decompose?

I was wondering if I bought a shark jaw and kept in it my fish tank if it would start to break down or fall apart in certain places. Is there still soft material holding the two jaw bones together? Will it come apart?

If you bought a shark "jaw" it wouldn’t be the real jaw of a shark, just a fake. Shark jaws are made of cartilage, which eventually breaks down. Only the teeth of the shark are really preserved.

How do you keep shark steaks moist while cooking over charcoal on the grill?

I don’t want these expensive shark steaks ruined. So what is the best liquid to use to keep the meat moist while it’s grilling?

Since sharks are steak fish, you never cook it to temperature that is why it becomes dry as the person cooking it is cooking it through all of the way. Make sure you oil the steak really well as well as the grill to keep it from sticking and then grill until you have the crosshatch and then take it off.

What is the second largest predatory shark?

I believe it is either th Tiger shark, or the Great Hammerhead shark, but Im not sure.

It is the Tiger Shark.

How does a shark obtain sufficient nutrients from its food sources?

I would like to know how, now what food but how the shark gets its nutrients- where it is absorbed etc thank-you!

It is the same for sharks as it is for really any animal.

Shark eats food… sharks body breaks down food… sharks body absorbs what it needs.

Can you help identifying which shark is it?

I’ve 3 freshwater sharks. One is bala shark. But the other two, one is completely white and other has black stripes. The pet store had told me it was a "tiger shark" and a "white shark" but I could not find any info regarding that in the web. Is it really freshwater "tiger shark" (the long horizontal black stripe one)? If yes, why is there no info regarding those in the net?

i believe it to be an iridescent shark the way you explained it which is not a shark at all actually its a catfish but below is a picture of the iridescent shark with the black stripe down its side

450 pound Black Marlin eaten by shark

This 450 pound black marlin was caught off Cairns, Australia. After about 22 minutes it panicks and goes down deep, where the sharks live. Big mistake. At least we got to keep the Bill! As for the size, its the Captain who makes the call, not me. Barry Cross (skip) estimated it to be around 450lbs, so thats what i go with even though i might agree with some that its closer to 350 than 450. For a reference, at the end of the video when i’m holding the head, i’m 6’4″. It might also be helpful to know that the boat is 65ft long and has a beam (width) of 17.5ft. Comments have been disabled after the Internet Trolls with no clue as to what game fishing is all about started dropping one liners. Educate yourself before you opinionize kids. Go to www.mvjoejoe.com for more info on the awesome boat! There is a professional DVD out with this footage on it, go to www.bransfords.com.au to buy.
