Which chichlids would be good with platies
I wouldn’t recommend a cichlids in a 10. Most get too big and aggressive. A good substitute with platies would be 1 male dwarf gourami.
They are cichlids, and in 10 gallons, there are not any. If you wanted to upgrade to a 20 gallon long tank, there is a wide variety of dwarf cichlids that can be kept in a community tank, but 10 gallons is just too small.
Cichlids are very territorial and need a tank larger than 10 gals. Also the platys will not survive in the same tank with the aggressive cichlids.
There are Cichlids that are small and peacefull enough to live with Platies, but not in a 10gal.
Get a bigger tank, or just stick with the platies.
