Some people do, it …
Some people do, it is discusting see those vids were they have such a lack of respect for the beautiful cichlids, to purposly do that is just beyond me, I mean a cichlid fight can be interesting to whach but to put two fish together just to whatch them brutelize each other is just discusting.

Sadly a lot of them …
Sadly a lot of them do, and it’s not just in the States (I’m Australian). People buying fish that will impress their friends and make a cool party trick are unfortunately all too common. I’ve never been a fan of Aggressive Centrals due to their aggression, but it’s half the appeal of them.
Mind you, there are a lot of fishkeepers out there that do pull it off responsibly.

your tank is …
your tank is amazing, but can you explain someting to me? do people in the US keep large cichlids together just to watch them trying to kill each other? I’ve just seen video after video of horrific fish fights, people putting stuff into tanks and watching it get ripped to pieces. I can’t see why anyone would want their fish to fight like that, let alone get off on it like these sick f***s. what’s going on?
