Hi, good question about clear water! This tank never had problems with dirty cloudy water because this is a 10gallon tank, which gets no more than 15watt of light. Also, I dont run it all day, but maybe average 6 hours. Some days of the week light is off. If you look at my other video with bigger tank, that one is designed for lots of light, there I could only clean it with an “internal uv sterilizer”, that thing really works.

Hi, it also depends on what shrimp you have. These Amano shrimp almost never died in my aquarium, but when I put the cherry red shrimp in they all died. I think the cheaper shrimp are stronger. Make sure water condition is zero for Ammonia and zero for Nitrite, they have to be zero for healthy Shrimp. Best food for shrimp is Hikari brand shrimp food

Some pet stores have Amano shrimp. Here in San Francisco at least one store has them. Your water has to be very clean and cycled. Has to have zero ammonia and zero nitrite, otherwise they will die.
