Back To Nature Guppy Tank (Guppies)

A quick video of my guppy tank as it is at the moment. Its a 70 litre ‘Brillux Ultrabright’ aquarium with 2x T8 bulbs. The tank is fitted with a ‘Back to Nature Amazonas’ 3D background which has been modified to take the fittings for my external Fluval 205 filtration system and a heater as well. There are just over 20 adult guppies, and lots of baby ones, 3 ottocinclus and a juvenile bristle nose plec hiding somewhere! Sorry about the reflections, but its the best I could do in the day time!

Fish only tend to nip if they are bored. I don’t know about rasboras, but for fish like tiger barbs, as long as they are in a good size group they are generally distracted enough not to go after fancy tails.

It comes from the tap, and is run through 2 giant pod filters (sediment first, then carbon) this takes out large particles and removes chlorine, copper etc with the carbon.

Believe it or not, I know what I’m doing. This tank is one of 12 that I keep.

I would use a reverse osmosis system, but I also keep hard water cichlids which need the mineral content in the water.
