However, if you are getting a mix, I would only put one male and one female and then plant it heavily so that there's a place for the babies to hide. If you fill the tank to capacity and then they have babies, you'll be overcrowded before you know it! Also, make sure that you properly cycle the tank before adding any fish into it. If you have live plants, you probably won't need a bubbler as they will produce oxygen. My 5 gallon fish tank has over 20 fish in it and they are all doing fine. All I have is a filter and pump, de-clorinating solution, and scenery(for happy fish), and flake food.
