so a 12 gallon tank … so a 12 gallon tank for a 12 inch goldfish??? lol how dumb its actually 2 gallons per inch of freshwater tropical fish and 3 inches for everyinch of goldfish. i also am starting a reef tank but i dont no what the rule of thumb is for that. but im not gonna be adding a lot.
still….the rule … still….the rule of thumb according to everyone i have talked to and pretty much any fish hobbyist plus all of the many many websites is that you should have 1 gallon per inch…
you can call me silly if you want…but it is your fish who are going to suffer…
it looks like you have 5 fish in that little container…even if you do not go by the inch rule you should have them in at least 5 gallons of water…not some half gallon container…even if you do not want to go by the inch rule…

Don’t be stupid, no offence. I would understand if we were talking about cichlids here as far as 1 gallon per inch of body… but guppies? Honestly?! It’s not like they’re cramed in there having trouble moving. Don’t be silly, you silly goose!
