I am going to start a 10 gallon saltwater aquarium. What things do I need to do first. What exactly do I have to buy first… I have a tank.
I want some live gravel
coral that turns purple
a sea anoenome
a couple fish.
if you could let me know how to go about this it would be great

You have to buy salt and it will tell you how to mix it.
get tank!! mix salt water. get it in the tank! turn the light on. put in the live sands and live rock when its heated!! do loads of water changes while your live rock gets used to the lights and al the dead stuff goes into the water and starts your filteres working! more water changes loads of testing!! when it seems good put two fish init!
dont get an anoenome untill you realy know you shit!!! keeping them alive and keeping coral and fish alive are two VERY diffrent things!! that should be teh last thing on your mind!! if you are really set on one get every book you can coz they are hard to feed and keep happy! and be ready to be buting bottles of shite forever and feeding them fish a couple of times a week!!
you’ve got several questions on here,mostly regarding coraline "algae".this is what you do.1 10 gallon fill with as pure a water you can get.add a 10 gallon package of a good sea salt.put a power head in there to mix the salt water.leave it for a few days,use a 50 watt heater ,too.say after 1 week,buy 10 or so pounds of live sand that caribsea,bagged stuff is o.k.turn off the power head,pour it in.let it settle.get a whisper 10 for mechanical filtration.get a few nice pieces of coraline encrusted rock,from a good source.buy some blue leg hermit crabs.too.use a actinic WHITE florescent lamp.leave on 10-12 hours a day.use a trace element suppliment too or a 1 gallon water change once a week using the salt mix.you’ll start seeing coraline growth in no time,in a year,there’ll be a lot of it.after say 3-4 weeks,you can get 1-2 small clowns"percula""skunk"they should do alright.get a bubbletip anemone a few weeks after the clowns.they have the best reputation for hardiness.only 2 fish max!
