How much for an established saltwater aquarium?

I’m considering selling my saltwater aquarium and I was wondering how much I could expect to get for it. I’d sell it with everything I have with it:

- 25 gal aquarium
- the water that’s in it
- aquarium stand (it’s like a cabinet, not one of those flimsy wire ones)
- coral gravel
- water heater
- filter
- 1 clown fish
- sea shells and other aquarium decorations

So any suggestions on price?

the clownfish could be anywhere from $15-30 (depending how expensive they are at the store)
the water is rather useless maybe sneek an extra $2-3 into the total if you want to be crafty ;)
the tank would be about $20-35 depending on condition (no big scratches, chips, leaks, etc)
the stand about 40 again depending on condition
the live sand would be about 30 bucks if you have 25 pounds of it
the filter (depending on type, size, and model) anywhere from $10-50 especially if you sell any extra filter material with it
the shells and deco i would clean really well and probably charge about $10 for em.. not everybody is going to like you taste in decoration anyway…

all told you could probably get close to 200-250 for the whole thing.. is there any live rock in the tank? that could drastically increase the cost…

Depend on what type of filter you have. Used glass aquarium are about $1 per gallon. The water in the tank is worthless. One clownfish (perc) is about $25 at PetCo.

I would ask for $100 (again depending on filter)
