What is that new fish that has a shark head and a fish body?
March 1st, 2010 | by admin |I saw a new animal on the news that has a Shark head but a fish body, what is it called?
A shark doesn’t have a fish body? I thought it did, so I’m confused. Shark and salmon, any bony fish for that matter, have a completely different breeding and egg-laying procedure, and we won’t even go into the differences between bony fish vs. cartilagenous fish’s physiology, so I don’t even see how this could be possible. I think someone is pulling your leg or this is yet another one of those urban myths.

Its called a Sharfish. It was first introduced in the Pacific Ocean as a new type of Salmon about 50 years ago near where they were doing nuclear tests. Somehow it evolved into the Sharfish. In early 1959 2 Polish scientists cross bred a Walleye with a Muskie then crossbred it with a Coho Salmon, they were going to call it a CO-WAL-SKIE for each of the types of fish but when the scientists went for a coffee break the fish escaped into the Ocean. Apparently this "Fish" must have been swimming near the atomic testing sites.
