If you have saved up enough money just to buy the glaze tank, you will need to save up more money to buy the heater, and the filter, the air pump, the fish, the conditioners, and the decorations, the plants, it will be highly costly. If you want fish that can be bred very easily, you should be interested in Guppies, Platy’s, and a few Mollies. In a 20 gallon tank, you can put about 15 altogether. They all mate selfsame easily, and are easy to take care of. Good luck!

My enclosures are made out of melamine. It’s water proof once you seal the edges with silicone and it looks nice-comes in a variety of colors. It’s heavy though. You can also buy cages like Vision made from extruded plastic.

Aquarium Lighting Inquiries?

Question by Random Loner: Aquarium Lighting Inquiries?
i have a planted 35 gallon aquarium…. it has a 40 watts lighting with reflectors… like the ones we see on the mall… placed directly on top of the glass lid of my tank… it has philips “fluocent” bulbs… both 18 watts so the 40 would be like 36…. hehehe…. i was wondering if it would make the water too warm…. each has 6200K so its a total of 12 400… plus what are the effect of the reflectors?

What kind of livestock are housing? Is this freshwater, saltwater, or saltwater for corals? Different animals need different requirements, so do your research or you’ll end up with dead fish.Your set up is the average for fresh irrigate. However, corals need about 5 watts per gallon in a shallow aquarium.

You could always purchase a wheel for him to run on those are colorful and relatively inexpensive. Also there are some logs made out of alfalfa that they can chew on, so not only can they play and hide, they can chew without causing any harm. Those are also inexpensive. :D Yea a lot of aquarium things are made out of ceramics that are painted with paint that might be toxic if consumed. Chips of ceramic are not healthy either. Also plastic things are not healthy either. Which rodents will consume.
