I am redoing my tank tonight, and I wanted everyone’s opinion. I am purchasing a volcano for my aquarium, was travel to add black sand, maybe some rocks. Which light bulb should I purchase to really intensify my fish’s colors? I want them to genuinely stand unwrap and look beautiful. Any other cool ideas for my tank? Let me know. :) I was thinking astir a black background as well. Why don’t you think it’s a good idea to put a volcano in an aquarium. Have you seen the pics? blueish light tend to bring out fishes colors better..something like a 14,000K or 18,000K it’s probably sold as a marine bulb, but it will work for FW as long as there’s no live plantshydor makes a submergible light that has different color strain for it. i suggest to get I and use the red filter..

Should i keep my light on 24/7 or should it be off at night or vise versaIt is a small flourescent strip, and i knoiw that the kuhuli loach is mostly noctournal, so should i turn my light off at night or in the day, or just leave it on 24/7

The light should be on for no more than 10 hour/ day and unless you have real plants, it isn’t necessary to have them on that long. The fish need some kill time , and they need the light retired to rest.Besides inordinate light will cause excessive algae.Turn it on when you are around to enjoy it, day or evening and turn it out for the overnight.
