Question by : How do you save a dazed catfish after putting it in an aquarium with a strong filter? 5 gallon aquarium, 3w filter 240ml/m rate… i reduced the filter to a weaker one already but my catfish had been swimming with the strong current for about 8 hours… It’s not really moving but the gills are.. it just ate one of the feeders too so maybe that’s why.. I’m asking this because all the feeders in the tank are now dead… is my catfish gonna die too? what can i do to help it? thanks!

Answer by ♥Reesie♥Cup♥ well how many fish are in your tank? What type of catfish? a cory? a 5 gallon tank tin only hold so many fish… and if you have more than 5 fish that is why your other fish may be dying. the ammonia levels may be going crazy. the filter most likely has nothing to do with it, unless of course it needs to be changed. =Palso when did you add it? it could just be a little shocked. my oto did the same when i first added it and then it just kinda got over whatever spooked it. it is hard to tell really…anyway best luck with your fish.
A 10 gallon tropical fish tank and contains bush-nose catfish, guppies, white albino catfish, a neon tetra (they were 6 but all died!! and idk y), and this tank also contains a bamboo shrimp and also a fry guppy and it was there since the birth (wanted to c if it will survive or not, but fortunately did) … the tank under is for raising the fryz, and I’ve got 24 baby guppies, a gold snail, and 2 ghost shrimps in there.
A video of my tropical fish. U will see guppies, swordtails, rainbowfish, rosy barbs, dwarf gourami, siamese fighting fish, corydoras, royal plec, common plec and angelfish. Thank u all 4 watching and i hope u enjoy!

I have tons of goldfish but I thought I’d try my hand at tropicals too. This is my 30gal tropical tank. I figured I’d start with some easy keepers since I don’t know as much about trops as I do goldfish. Drop a comment I don’t mind. The tattooed mollies were rescued from a person who wanted to flush them alive down a toilet. I do not buy tattooed fish nor do I condone the practice. It is cruel and entirely unnecessary!
I recently purchased an aquarium from somebody that was using it as a saltwater aquarium. It is very dirty and has salt caked all over it. I need to clean off all the algae and salt. Do I just use water and a scrubber or is there more to it? I read somewhere to use vinegar, anyone ever heard of this? Also what is a protein scimmer? The tank came with all types of stuff that I’m not familiar with. Can I keep any of the decor that was in the tank if I rinse it off? Thanks for any advice you can give.
I already have 5 fancy tailed goldfish and 2 small catfish in my other tank that I plan on transferring into this tank. The decor is mostly rocks and fake plants. I removed all of the old gravel because I want to use the rocks that I had in my old tank.
It came with 2 filters a dual bio-wheel and the the one that uses rocks with charcoal. I was planning on keeping the filters and replacing what I can with new stuff. Or can I clean the pads and wheels as well as the casing?
http://www.oscarfish.co.uk How to make a really cheap aquarium/fish tank filter. Once the filter is made connect the airpipe to the air pump place the filter totally immersed and switcj on the aie pump. The air bubbles will rise in the tube and draw water with them. As this happens water will rush in through the filter down through the holes that you melted in the bottom piece. this causes a flow through the filter.
