Question by vailance: My aquarium coralife light for my cichlid tank has been submerged and blown out!?
ok so what happened was i usualyy have a glass lid over my aquarium over a coralife light-colored not sure but its a coralife.on top of it all is an aquarium hood. the hoods wooden. for som reason the glass hood when i lift it off got stuck in the wood and caused my coralife light to fall over my tank in the irrigated. i saw a bright blue aura and then that was it. is the light-colored still good is the bulb gone? or the whole fixture?

Best answer:

Answer by David
Dry it out really good ASAP, use a hairdryer if you need to, full chance it is ticket, if doesn’t come back on, take it to where you purchase replacement bulbs and try to see if ballast and fixture still good (save you from having to return bulb)happened to me a million times, prob okps, make damn certain it and hands dry before plug back in to avoid shock, but most of all to avoid frying it if not already

Question by Will L: Will Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Amazon Extract Cichlid aid a 20 gallon convict cichlid breeding tank at all?
hi!i am cycling a 20 gallon tank that will house a pair of convict cichlids. i use Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Amazon Extract Cichlid in my green terror breeding tank and i was wondering if it will help the central american convicts at all? should i add it?thanks!heres the link… http://www.marinedepot.com/Aquarium_Pharmaceuticals_Amazon_Extract_Cichlid_8oz_Additives_Supplements_for_Cichlids-Aquarium_Pharmaceuticals_API_MARS_Fishcare-AP1234-FWADSATEFSCI-1-vi.html

Best answer:

Answer by Sarah
Amazon Extract for cichlids will help them breed happily and it will create a suitable environment for the cichlids, however I regret to inform you that a 20g tank isn’t suitable for breeding cichlids. For ane convict, the minimum tank size that it should be housed in is a 20g. When engender, those fish require more space, especially if you are planning on keeping the fry in there so that they can be raised by their parents.A 45-50g tank is more ideal. It won’t hurt to add it weekly, after all it isn’t very expensive, so I recommend you infect it an assay – once you upgrade your tank.
