Question by Jess: Can I use Aquarium Salt for my hermit crab?
I used to have a fish tank but I had to get rid of the fish (they went to a good home at my dads house lol) and I got hermit crabs. I know like salt water and I was wondering if I can use my Aquarium Salt and give to my hermit crabs. I know they need fresh water too, but they like salt water. Aquarium salt would be what you want to use, but I don’t understand why you think it needs saltwater? In the wild hermit crabs do live in salt water, but the type sold in pet stores do not need it. I have always just gave them fresh water to drink and leave the rest of the tank dry (with gravel of course). Hope this helps
