Question by _: What makes mold grow on aquarium filter? Too much light or too little?
I late hooked up my aquarium light to a timer so it goes on at 7 am and off at 7 pm. I used to turn it off and on at 8 am and 6 pm. I noticed there’s whitening furry looking mold growing on the top of my filter where the water doesn’t touch. Should I be able to just wipe it off with a paper towel or is it going to reappear? it’s a ten gallon tank if that matters. Thanks!
