Hand-feeding clown loach & other tropical fish

    But don’t forget your thermometer! 99% of the time it’s probably safe but that 1% could be a killer! A fair few experienced aquariums have met their fate this way, why take the risk? Plus some aquariums have other electrical items such as internal filter and/or moon lights.

    Good point … Thing is, if the fish are alive, chances are, I will be too. But then I guess anything could happen whilst you’ve got your hand in.

    Not necessarily, don’t forget the fish won’t get electrocuted because they aren’t grounded.
    You on the other hand most likely are “Earthed” unless you can levitated above ground or are suspended above the ceiling in some way!

    great tank and beautiful loach there. if i offered my loach to hand feed it the fckn angelfish will rip it out of my hand and the loach would chase it

    just as some advice to all loach owners with other fish in the tank they are known to get very aggressive towards other fish if there are not a minimum of 3-5 loaches in the tank….eventually once they grow to about 4inches they will start killing your other fish

    my loaches like to swim around in my hand when i feed them, but if i close my hand just a little bit, they stab me with their spines…

    lol just convert to tropical throw out the old water and fish well put them down safely in your oven ad ge a eater filter and a light there you go you have tropical tank wait for water to get ready add de-chlorinator visit websites and research there you go in less than a month tropicals:)

    i put a plec in a coldwater tank and he was just fine so i dont see why you cant. Then after 3 years i put him into tropical and he still is.

    dump some clove oil in your tank or a bucket with the gold fish… wait till fish falls asleep… dump half a bottle of vodka in, and drink the rest… buy a clown loach… and bam! you have a tropical tank

    Nice set up….He He,I find barbs will go for anything smaller,especially long finned fish.
