the best way to move them is to get a cooler, that will hold about 20 gallons of water… fill it half way (10gals), put the fish in. run a air pump that is rated for 10-20gals of water and runs on batteries. run that in the container while you travel. stop every once in a while and take the lid off so new air gets in. they should be fine for 3-4hrs in the container sealed up. If you add extra water conditioner to the water, it will help with the stress of moving.

it’s possible. see if you can get ahold of a square or squareish bucket. if you dont already have one you can buy power adapters for your car which turns a cigarette lighter outlet into a wall outlet so that you can use wall appliances in the car. put the fish in the bucket and hang the filter on the back and put the bubbler in. i’m assuming that your fish are all pretty small so they could fit in a bucket…

if you travel with a bag you wont have to worry about water splashing around anywhere but i think the fish would have a better chance of survival if they were in a bucket because they have more air and more room to move around

    Good luck! :D

depends on what type of fish you have… I transported mine in a cooler when I moved from the east to the west coast. They were fine. I also had a battery operated bubbler going attached to the top of the cooler inside the lid. No splashing and the dark kept the fish calm.

I wouldn’t do unless you fish mean A LOT to you or are super expensive. I had to give away all of my fish when I moved because they would have died if I put them in baggies and took them with me across the US. But if you want, the ideas above work.

they would probably survive better in a bucket.

    good luck.
