Please could you tell me if i need to add anything else to this list of things you need when setting up a tropical fish tank.
a net
a bucket
a breeding tank (useful if you have a sick fish)
tropical fish food
A jug
A gravel vacuum (for cleaning out the tank safely)
an old clean toothbrush (for cleaning away the algae)
tropical fish books
a testing kit- (to make sure your tank dosent get a high PH which can lead to fatalities)
fish medicine

um medicines to prevent disease, gravel, WATER, water conditioner, fish, love, patience, time, lighting, filtration, decorations, stand, information about the nitrogen cycle, ph balance, aquarium salt, and ph medicine. also put info about letting your tank cycle

You should add that you need to cycle your tank when set up before adding any fish..Explain the whole nitrogen cycle..Many ppl dont do this.. It’s very important! also QT any new fish.. and info about water changes..

The test kit is right,but high pH won’t kill fish living in clean water. I’ve kept thriving,spawning communities in fresh well water that came out of the ground with a pH of 8.3.

I would lose the medicine and the tropical fish book they are not really needed to get a tank started.
Rather I would suggest a basic aquarium manual that talks about all the basic issues like the nitrogen cycle, ph balance, proper temperature, and illness diagnostics.
You should also add a heater to the list.

You need a filter, air pump, a heater and a siphon hose to add it.
