This attractive species is peaceful and easy to care for whilst also extremely beautiful.

question. how often do they breed and how long do they take to become adults,or at least to star breeding? I’m want to star a tank, and use them as feeders for my cichlid tank.
blue platys are hard to find, at least in my area,
on the web:
liveaquaria has some but are never in stock it seems
thatpetplace has blue ones but I don’t think are wagtails
and you can always try your luck on aquabid
ps wait til its warmer unless you wanna payout the balls for shipping
They never have good blue platies around here. The only blue ones I see are practically white with only a very slight blue sheen. I’d like some like this.

They are my FAVORITES! My local petco has them but they are ALWAYS diseased – either icky or fin rot.

Are they really blue? They look just like my silver wag….The blue tint seems to come from the tank?!

I wish I could find blue platies around here. I would love to keep some in my tank.

They are beautiful, but I consider most livebearers too easy to breed and care for.

Darn hard to find around here (DC area) as well, even with several good LFS. I want a trio to go with my sunset wag platys
