Finally, someone who knows what they're talking about. And for water changes, I usually change 10% twice a week - It's not as drastic as doing a 20-30% once a week.

im trying to choose a gravel that would best reflect the ocean because i have a tropical tank so i thought of white

but im concerned that in a short period of time the white gravel will go pale or dull and look horrible so im not sure what to choose

When putting real wood in a fish tank, doesn't it make the fish tank messy?

Water change as in leaving the fish in the tank, draining about 25% of the water in the aquarium with a syphon, and refilling with fresh water. Water changes are key to keeping an aquarium healthy.
