    Junaid187, just go to the hardware store and get some pipes that will if the outlets/inlets for the filter.

    Canister filters do not require much maintenance, every 2 to 4 months is fine if you are not overstocked. You also do not need to replace the media. Why would you replace it?

    right, start the filter up, and then get on the pipe where the water is pushed out. Put it round your lips and suck, in other words siphoning. if your not good, take a mouth full, and it should start to work like a treat. i have had to do this many a time.

    3-4 weeks is too much, maybe 4-5 mounths, its important too keep the good bakteriaculture in the filter alive, if you change filtermedia too often it will only result in bad water quality.

    i had the same problem. try to getting another stand for the external filter. set it beside the tank. i still have trouble starting it up. my tank is a truvu and it has a small opening which it’s hard to get it running. hope you find a way !

    Fluval are the low class leaky filters.
    I own a fluval 305 and I plan on getting a eheim pro next week.

    i have a fluval 305 and i hate it…it flooded my livingroom because the plastic warped and i only had it for a month…i bought another one and the motor burned up …no reason for it at all…never buy one you are waisting your money

    I’ve got the RENA XP3 had it for about 5 years now and also got a FLUVAL 405 had that for about 2 years which as just died on me,, i think i’ll get another rena don’t you think…
